Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use X4Fix, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, screen magnification or voice control. This statement covers the X4Fix website; the mobile apps are not covered yet.

Conformance status

Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA, the level the European standard EN 301 549 refers to.

The website is partially conformant: some parts do not meet that target yet. The limitations we know about are listed below.

Known limitations

  • There is no "Skip to main content" link, so keyboard users have to move through the header on every page.
  • Many pages share the same browser tab title, which makes them hard to tell apart in a screen reader or among open tabs.
  • Some text, borders and focus outlines have too little colour contrast, and on some controls it is hard to see where the keyboard focus is.
  • Some form fields, such as the location and service pickers, are not announced with a name by screen readers.
  • Some items in the notifications list cannot be opened with the keyboard, and some status messages are not announced by screen readers.

We are working through these and will update this statement as each one is fixed.

Feedback and contact

If you cannot use part of the website, or you find a barrier that is not listed here, tell us which page it was and what went wrong. If we cannot fix it straight away, we will try to give you the information or service another way.
